Date and time: 22nd February 2020 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Location: Launceston LINC, room 2, 8 High Street, Launceston

How do you make a writer vanish?

This practical workshop will explore several facets of writing that relate to crafting stories in innovative ways. Using several examples as case studies, from writers such as Graham Swift, Virginia Woolf and William Faulkner, participants will explore notions such as point of view, time, structure, and principles of narration to enrich and enliven their own fiction. Inspiration will also be drawn from Exercises in Style by Raymond Queneau and 99 Ways to Tell a Story, by Matt Madden.

Lively discussion will ensue regarding the application of these principles to participants’ own work.

No expectations and no preparation required! Please bring writing materials, a summary of your current work in progress and some interesting questions.
