Get set for the 2017 TASMANIAN WRITERS AND READERS FESTIVAL, 14 – 17 September

Events released include:

Opening Night at the Theatre Royal, Thursday 14th Sept, 7.45pm – featuring international guest, Prof A. C. Grayling, with Jeff Malpas and Heather Rose.

Seven exciting masterclasses with talented writers – Bradley Trevor Greive, Ashley Hay, Alec Patric, Benjamin Law, Arnold Zable, Tim Cope and Maria Tumarkin.



Our festival unites writers and readers from across the state through masterclasses, children’s shows, and comedy and spoken word events.

The event occupies various spaces across the historic Hadley’s Orient Hotel, and encourages all members of the community to engage with their fellow readers and writers through the power of storytelling.
